2026 NAC : HASG Commends ARCON Initiatives …..Pledges absolute support

The Heads of Advertising Sectoral Groups (HASG) has expressed its commendations to the leadership of Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) for ongoing reform initiatives resulting to the birth of the annual National advertising Conference (NAC).
The Group which comprises headship of the various sectoral associations of the Marketing Communications industry have thrown its collective weigh behind the apex regulator, pledging to see through to the success of the forth coming 6th edition of NAC, the industry’s most outstanding thought leadership gathering towards the growth and advancement of Nigeria’s IMC ecosystem.
In their separate presentations recently at the ARCON organized media briefing ahead the NAC Conference scheduled to hold in Abuja in November , the sectoral heads commended ARCON initiatives and its drive towards active repositioning Nigeria’s creative Industry for positive growth.
Addressing Journalists at the event, HASG Chairman and President, Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria( AAAN) , Lanre Adisa took a historic review NAC now in its sixth year formation, submitting that the yearly gathering had over time effected positive changes, leading to several industry initiatives including, creating assessment committees on IMC s contributions to national economic, the digital Marketing and Artificial intelligence policy regulatory frameworks.
“ The only way you can actually tell that something is important is to ask yourself that if there was no NAC, where would we have been ”
“ If we are looking for relevance, if we are looking for acceptance or whatever, this is where we can actually do that advocacy for ourselves” he said, adding,
“Every country is looking for their own way of of managing AI and that’s a reality. This year’s Conference is very important because advertising has always been about looking for the next Frontier” he stated
Also speaking, the President, Experiential Marketing Association of Nigeria ( EXMAN) Tolu Medebem corroborated the group Chairman, emphasizing on the important place of NAC at repositioning the industry on the path of growth, six years on.
“ We therefore commend ARCON, NAC Planning Committee and all the Sectoral bodies for continuing to create this important platform for dialogue, for teaming and for collective progress . As EXMAN, we remain committed to contributing to an ecosystem that is more professional, innovative, and responsive to the changing needs of brands, businesses and consumers “ she stated
Dr Brenda Nwagwu, newly elected President of Media Independents Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MIPAN), also commending, recapped on the NAC Conference Theme : Repositioning Marketing Communications for the Next Frontier” noting that the subject speaks directly to where the industry stands currently.
“ We are living in a landscape that is changing rapidly. Technology, Policies, evolving consumer behaviors, data, digital platforms and new forms are redefining how brands connect with audiences” she stated, dding that
“ The Next Frontiers equires therefore that we think differently, embrace innovations and find new ways to create Value “
President of Out – Of- Home Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN), Dr Shola Akinsiku also threw the association’s corporate weigh behind ARCON noting however the need to redirect Conference topical issues towards prioritizing OOH , which according to him is most traumatized sector of Nigeria’s Marketing Communications secto
